This is my first attempt at writing a blog and I hope I dont disappoint you all.
The blog is oft repeated topic of 2010 and that is MAINSTREAM MEDIA
Can anyone remember the last time you saw a news item / capsule on our MSM and felt that YES. THIS IS WHAT IS NEUTRALITY.
Just a few examples of our MSM
TIMESNOW / NDTV / CNNIBN
1) Refused to cover Radiagate or Barkhagate or Mediagate whatever you call inspite of sustained pressure of 7 days
2) Didnt cover Debganga Riots
3) Didnt Cover Berally Curfew for 9 days
4) Started unfolding of CWG Scam after it did not get the "positive coverage" contract of CWG
5) For them, still CWG stops at Kalmadi and 2G at Raja
6) Disputing Court Verdicts in Ram Janmabhumi Case and Binayak Sen Case
7) Giving airtime to Arundhati Roy while totally forgetting forced exile of 21 yrs of Kashmiri Pandits
8) Manufacturing and / or Twisting the feedbacks as to suit and sustain their own biased Agenda
9) Abusing Lord Rama and when caught deleting the tweets.
10) Calling anyone who asks tough questions as loonies.
11) Gujarat exists for MSM only for negative publicity
And this is how InternetHindus (term coined by Ms. Sagarika Ghose) responded,
1) Forced the MSM to cover Radiagate or Barkhagate or Mediagate by trending #Barkhagate #Mediamafia #FireBarkha #FireVirBarkha #dalalmedia #Mediagate #MediaLies on twitter
2) Caught the bluff of MSM of Manufacturing and / or Twisting the Feedback and forced them to apologise
3) Forced MSM to delete the tweet abusing Lord Rama
4) Regularly engage with MSM on twitter to make them accept their mistakes and apologise
